ART.FOOD.HOPE., Washington D.C.

On the eve of Barack Obama's inauguration, renowned American chefs united to cook simple, delicious meals in beautiful homes. In the spirit of service and community, chefs volunteered their time and hosts opened their homes to support both the sustainable farmers and the charity organizations that have fed the community of Washington D.C. for over twenty years. With an understanding of the connection between art, food and quality of life, noted cultural figures helped to foster a new type of conversation at the dinner tables. Many of Barack Obama's biggest supporters and advisors were guests at the dinners. Guest chefs included Alice Waters, Dan Barber, Tom Colicchio, José Andrés, Joan Nathan, Lidia Bastianich, Rick Bayless and Nancy Silverton to name just a few.
